JoJo is a Black Belt under Sean Alvarez (UFC 42) and his roots can be traced back to Carlson Gracie of the Gracie Family - the first family in BJJ. A veteran MMA fighter and active Blackbelt and Pro-Division No-Gi fighter, JoJo is a tremendous athlete who lives the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle - teaching, training and fighting alongside his students. An all-state swimmer in high-school, JoJo is an advocate of cross-training.

JoJo currently competes at the highest level - fighting in invite-only Professional grappling tournaments and often competing in the Absolute Dvision against other blackbelts and expert fighters 2x his size. In addition to his Head Instructor duties at ECU Westchester, he also leads the curriculum at ECU Fairfield.

Jordan is a Brown Belt under JoJo Guarin (Black Belt – Sean Alvarez / Nelson Monteiro). Jordan began his Training at the University of Vermont, under Brown Belt Chris Owen of Roberto Maia (Black Belt).

After graduating in May of 2007, Jordan began to immerse himself in BJJ, studying under JoJo at Gracie Barra of Westchester. It was at this time that he began to compete on a regular basis winning numerous titles and medals.

Jordan is committed to sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. His attention to detail and knowledge of BJJ related physical conditioning is helping his students to excel in the sport. Jordan believes that a complete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu regimen will dramatically increase one's health, strength, balance, stamina, and mental confidence!

Dan recently left the amateur ranks as an up-and-coming fighter and currently holds a professional kickboxing record of 1-0 and a professional MMA record of 1 - 0. He won his MMA debut in dominating fashion in October 2010 representing the future of East Coast United in the Mixed Martial Arts world. Skilled in Kickboxing, Muay Thai and having wrestled throughout high school, Dan joined ECU initially to hone his grappling skills, but ultimately became a part of the family and a leader of ECU's MMA program.

Jessica Mondello
Yoga

Jessica is a certified yoga instructor through YogaFit®. In her yoga practice, she integrates styles of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. After 8 years of practicing yoga, it was not very difficult to broaden her practice into teaching yoga as her first career is in the education field. With a fitness background in cycling, running, pilates and kickboxing, yoga brought balance to her fitness regimen as well as a spiritual strength.
